Ride Coordinators: What Do They Do?

Posted on by

For each week’s VBC road rides, two members volunteer as Ride Coordinators. What do these wonderful people do? Great question! They:

  1. Check everyone in and help them find their groups. Ride Coordinators make sure everyone has arrived, met their lead and sweep, and found their group. Ride Coordinators may reorganize ride groups so all groups have a lead and sweep and have no more than ten people.
  2. Communicate important changes to the route or other essential information.
  3. Ride as lead and sweep with the short route groups. Ride Coordinators roll out with these groups after the long and medium route riders. When we have new riders, they make sure they feel welcome.
